Weekly Render - 5 - Cel style blob

Tried having literally zero direction initially and seeing what the crap I could come up with. A cel-animated blob is the result. Everything you see was modeled, textured, and lighted using Cinema 4D Lite, a very stripped down version of Cinema 4D, and rendered using After Effects.
I achieved the look by creating a cel-style material in C4D Lite. Basically you set up a Lumas shader, then colorize that. You can use the colorizers gradient to adjust the colors. It's a lot less intuitive and more work than the full Cel Shader that the full version of C4D gives you. I added the edges by going into the cel shader properties and checking on the edges box, then exporting a version of JUST the edges to AE. I keyed out the black, then added that layer on top of the original.
